In a field of 55 fencers, believed to be one of the largest Æthelmearc Queen’s Rapier Champion Tournaments ever, Master Lodovick of Grays Inn defeated Don William Parris in the finals to claim victory and the position of Rapier Champion for the reign of Queen Gabrielle.

The Queen’s Rapier Champion Tournament was held on April 18, A.S. XLIX, in the Shire of Silva Vulcani.

Master Lodovick, who resides in the Barony of St. Swithin’s Bog, was inducted to the White Scarf in the reign of Henri I. He became a Master of the Pelican last summer for his service to the Bog.

While His Majesty King Timothy was in Ansteorra on business, hoping to secure the Ansteorran army as Pennsic allies, Queen Gabrielle presided over the tournament and held court.
