The following announcement was made by the Pennsic War staff:

NO SWIMMING! Just a reminder from the Pennsic Staff and the Coopers that there is no swimming anywhere on site at Pennsic. In this year of much rain the streams and the currents are extremely fast and dangerous.

Note that anyone who wishes to go swimming during Pennsic can drive a few miles east on Rt. 422 to Moraine State Park.
