Documented from the Scrolls of the Reign of Timothy and Gabrielle, King and Queen of Æthelmearc: the Business of Their Court at Coronation in the Shire of Heronter 25-26 September AS L. As recorded by Baronsfrú Oðindisa Býkona, Fleur d’Æthelmearc Herald, with the assistance of Maistir Brandubh O’Donnghaile, Tabor Herald, and Brehress Gwendolyn the Graceful.

In the evening of 25 September:

Their Majesties called forward Baron Benedict Fergus atte Meade. Having previously been given a writ for the Order of Defense, Their Majesties asked if he still wished to sit vigil. Having consented, the Masters of Defense forward to escort His Excellency to his vigil.

Their Majesties called forward Baron Tadhg Sotal Ó Néill. They noted that he is a solid fighter, especially with two weapons. They also commended him on developing strong leadership on the field. For these accomplishments, They named him a Member of the Order of the Gage.

Their Majesties called forward the Honorable Lord Ian Kennovan. They noted he was an accomplished cook and served his shire in any capacity he was able. They made special note of his prowess as a heavy fighter. They wished to recognize this, above all else, and so called forth the Order of the Chivalry. Ian was then escorted to his vigil.

In the morning of 26 September:

Their Majesties called forward Lady Aemelia Soteria. They remarked on her tremendous service to the Kingdom. She works as MoL at every opportunity. She ran the Gate Guard at Æthelmearc Royal, worked at inspection point, and ran SASS. She sewed much garb in preparation for Pennsic and took many bins of fabric, banners, candle holders, and Æthelmearc Regalia to be washed, cleaned, and stored. For her over and above service for Æthelmearc, especially at this last Pennsic war, Their Majesties created her a Baroness of Their Court. The scroll is a work in progress.

Their Majesties called forward Skjaldvor Vikarsdottir. Their Majesties spoke of how she regularly volunteers at Pennsic for Security, also helps at local events with feast setup, dishes and site cleanup. She is also pursuing the art of Viking wire weaving and shares her creations. For this, They awarded her Arms. Scroll is a work in progress.

Their Majesties called forward Lady Aileen Ingen Proinsias. They spoke of her unending service to the kingdom and her grace and smile that is always present while doing so. For this they made her a Companion of the Cornelian. The scroll is a work in progress.

Their Majesties called forward Jasper Longshanks. They noted his dedication to wood working and the accuracy of his clothes. For this They created him a Companion of the Sycamore and Awarded him Arms. Scroll by Lady Gillian de Verona.

Their Majesties called forward the Tribe of Tuatha Firen. Their Majesties spoke of the long time service to the Kingdom and the Royalty of Æthelmearc, especially in organizing and running an auction at War Practice to benefit the Kingdom. For this, They bestowed the Tribe with a group Keystone.

Their Majesties called forward Meisterin Felicitas Flußmüllnerin. Their Majesties spoke of she is a powerhouse of service. She works tirelessly to make sure Delftwood is running smoothly and looking good. She is always available for information and assistance. She approaches things with joy and prides herself on doing a thorough and good job at whatever she is doing, no matter how small. For this, They created her a Companion of the Millrind. Their Majesties called forward Lord Silvester Burkhardt. They noted he has been an ever present support throughout the reign serving as Captain of the Queen’s Guard. He has attended almost every event making sure that Her Majesty was properly guarded. For his remarkable dedication and exemplary service, Their Majesties created him a Baron of Their Court. Their Majesties called forward Lady Rowena Moore. Their Majesties remarked They were not surprised when she stepped up to the plate and made everything good again when suddenly in need of help. They have known her talents and hard work ethic for over twenty years. She is a stalwart servant for Æthelmearc doing whatever needs to be done, all with a smile and kind nature. Their Majesties called forward Baron Silvester Burkhardt, Mistress Euriol of Lothian, Duke Marcus Eisenwald, Mistress Elisabeth Johanna von Flossenburg, Baroness Aemelia Soteria, Mistress Bronwyn MacFhionghuin, Master Tigernach mac Cathail, Baroness Rowena Moore, Baron Janos Meszaros, Mistress Kateryna Ty Isaf, Master Robert of Sugargrove, Lord Padraig O’Branduibh, Lady Wylde Wysse, Lady Elyse le Bref, and Master Kameshima Zentarou Umakai. They spoke of the incredible amount of time, effort, and resources this group gave in support of Their reign. For this, They bestowed each with a Sigil of Æthelmearc. Their Majesties called forward Baron Benedict Fergus atte Meade. They asked him if had sat vigil and if it was his wish to be elevated to the Order of Defense. Baron Fergus replied yes. Lady Fenris McGill Fer Bleddyne spoke on behalf of the populace. She spoke of how Fergus traveled far and wide to start fencing programs. That he took the time to train the newest fencers and encourage them to develop their skills. Baronsfrú Oðindisa Býkona spoke as a the Laurel noting his shoe making skills and his dedication to honing and teaching his craft. Comtesse Elena d’Artois le Tailleur spoke as a Royal Peer. She spoke of Fergus’ diligence regarding safety on the fencing field. Countess Caryl Olesdatter spoke as a Pelican. Her Excellency spoke of the many hours of service Fergus gave to the fencing community, his barony, and the kingdom. Earl Yngvar the Dismal spoke as a Knight commenting on Fergus’ chivalry on and off the field. Baron Fergus was then gifted a collar from the White Scarves and another made by Lady Cairdha Eilis O’Coileain. Baroness Helene, his wife, tied a cloak upon his shoulders made by her hand. Their Majesties accepted his oath of fealty and proclaimed him a Master of Defense. The scroll is a work in progress by the Angel’s Keep Scribal Guild.

Their Majesties called forward The Honorable Lord Ian Kennovan. They asked him if he had sat vigil and if it was his wish to be elevated to the Order of Chivalry. THL Ian replied yes. Duchess Liadain ni Dheirdre Chaomhanaigh spoke as a Pelican talking about his never ending service to the Shire of Herontir and any who needed it. Duke Maynard von dem Steine spoke as a Knight about Ian’s level of skill and how he how hard he worked to improve himself. Duchess Anna Blackleaf spoke as a Laurel discussing his arts of sugar paste and cooking. Duke Marcus Eisenwald spoke as a Royal Peer and talked about Ian’s kind and generous nature. Duchess Dorinda Courtenay spoke as a Master of Defense and Ian’s commitment to the defense of the kingdom. Duke Cygnus the Blissful spoke as a Jewel of Æthelmearc and spoke of how Ian inspires those around him. Duke Maynard von dem Steine then placed spurs on Ian’s boots. Duke Cygnus the Blissful presented the white belt. Ian’s wife, Lady Sarah Balangee, and son, Kai, belted him with this belt. Duke Cygnus the Blissful presented Ian with a personal chain. Sir Vlad gave him the ancestral chain. He then read the lineage. Their Majesties accepted Ian’s oath of fealty and was dubbed a Knight. The Oracle of Delftwood came into court and prophesied the ascension of new Imperati. The Oracle then bid Their Majesties to prepare to depart the thrones.

Their Majesties called forward the Royal guards and retainers. Their Majesties spoke of how Their staff had given so much time, heart, and dedication to supporting Them. They thanked them profusely and then collected the baldrics of their stations. The guards and retainers were then dismissed.

Their Majesties addressed the populace of Æthelmearc. They expressed gratitude to everyone for supporting the war efforts and helping to make Æthelmearc shine this Pennsic. They spoke of Their love of the kingdom and her people and how happy They were to serve as King and Queen. They then announced They were ready to step down.

Their Majesties invited Their Heir, Prince Tindal, who proclaimed his right to the Sylvan Throne. Mistress Cori Ghora, Kingdom Seneschale, testified that the Crown Tournament was held in accordance with all Kingdom Laws. Sir Bear the Wallsbane spoke in the name of the Earl Marshal, that the tournament was held according to the highest standards of martial prowess. Baroness Rynea Ingen of Stormsport spoke on behalf of the Minister of Lists stating that His Highness was indeed the right and proper victor of the day. Maistir Brandubh O’Donnghaile spoke on behalf of the Silver Buccle Herald, stating that Their Majesties had named His Highness as Their Heir, and that His Highness’s patents of nobility had been confirmed.

His Majesty thanked Her Majesty for being His inspiration before removing the Royal Crown from her head and giving it into the safe keeping of the Kingdom. He then removed the Crown from his own head and, as his last act as King, crowned Magnus Tindal the 37th King of Æthelmearc.
