Greetings to All,
Whether your interests take you to the Arts & Sciences Pentathlon and Display, Dance & Bardic, to the lists for either the Heavy Weapons or Rapier tournaments or to socialize and shop at the Salons and Merchants, We hope that you have a wonderful day visiting Our Lands and celebrating the Passing of the Ice Dragon with Us.
This year, we have a special guest, Sir Thomas the Mighty, a young gentle who has been fighting a heroic medical battle for most of his young life. If you should encounter him during his visit, please welcome him and his parents.
Padraig and Juliana
Baron and Baroness of the Rhydderich Hael
Please find more information on the Facebook page and on the event website:
UPDATE:
Sir Thomas is a 5 year boy who is engaged in battling a difficult childhood brain disease and has spent much of the last year in and out of Buffalo’s Children’s Hospital as a result. Despite all the pain and problems, Sir Thomas continues to fight his illness with courage and good grace, always producing a smile, even in the hardest of situations.
Thomas chose “Sir Thomas the Mighty” as his cancer warrior name because of his love of all things swords, knights, star wars and dragons. Because of this, Their Excellencies, the Baron and Baroness of the Rhydderich Hael have invited him (and him mom and dad) to be Their special guest at this year’s event.
We have planned many special moments for Thomas during the day, and we invite you to also share in making this day special for this great little guy. We hope that everyone who attends will take the opportunity to stop by his salon, or where ever you might encounter him and say “hi” and welcome. If you would like to be part of Sir Thomas’s special day in any way, please contact Baroness Jacquetta de Mehun (on facebook at Lynn Averill) or email to jacquetta@aol.com to join the Sir Thomas’ Welcome Committee.
