Their Majesties summoned Lord Robert MacEwin to attend Them as Queen’s Rapier Champion. Lord Robert had hosted a tournament to determine his successor this day. One combatant proved victorious. Their Majesties summoned Lord Nicolo Loredan da Venesia before Them. After confirming it was his wish to serve as Queen’s Rapier Champion, Their Majesties had him invested with the regalia of the office and invited him to join Their Court.
Their Majesties summoned THLord Kumagaya Kintarou Masamoto, The King’s Thrown Weapons Champion. He also ran a tournament to determine his successor this day. THLord Meinolf Grimsson proved victorious this day. Their Majesties invested him with the regalia of the office and invited him to join Their Court.
Their Majesties summoned Brick Wyndow to present himself before Them. They have heard much of Brick’s participation in fencing and archery and the efforts he had made to garb himself appropriately as a Noble of the Realm. Their Majesties next called for Julius Galdhiere to present himself before Them. Julius has been instrumental in recruiting students to the SCA at his local college in Ballachlagan, he has also proved to have much prowess in fencing. For this Their Majesties declared him a Lord and Awarded him Arms. Isabetta has been an active member of the Society for as long as Their Majesties have been involved, as she is Their daughter. She works at events, she shoots archery, she throws weapons, and as a youth she fought. For this Their Majesties determined that she should be a member of the Nobility and Awarded her Arms. It has been noted by many that Kuma has worked very hard to always portray very accurate dress in his chosen Japanese culture. Their Majesties called Lord Maddoc MacRoyri before Them. Maddoc is very skilled in the art of thrown weapons, and a certain group had advised Their Majesties as such. She declared that these two, the second-place finishers in today’s tournaments, both showed a level of grace and honor today that inspired Her. Thus, she jointly named them Queen’s Inspiration.
Their Majesties called for the scribes, wordsmiths, and regalia wrights that contributed to Their Court to present themselves that they might take a gift from the scribal goodie box.
Their Majesties expressed that the day was very fun. They enjoyed getting to see the fencing and thrown weapons today and were glad to see everyone who came to the event today. They asked for people to remember to write letters of recognition if they see anyone that is doing good work in the Kingdom.
