The Report of the Æthereal Court of Their Sylvan Majesties Maynard and Liadain, King and Queen of Æthelmearc, held on the 1st day of May Anno Societatis 56, Baron Brandubh O’Donnghaile, Jewel Herald.
Their Majesties called for the Kingdom Webminister Baroness Amalie Reinhardt to attend them and also summoned Lord Dyryke Hastings. Their Majesties thanked Baroness Amalie for serving the past 5 years as Kingdom Webminister performing that role in an exemplary fashion. They then released Baroness Amalie and accepted Lord Dyryke Hastings’ Oath of Service as the new Kingdom Webminister of Æthelmearc.
Baroness Amalie Reinhardt was then invited back into court and she confirmed that she was willing to take the Office of Kingdom Historian. Their Majesties received her Oath of Service in this new role, and thanked Dame Hrefna Ulfvarinnsdottir for her service as previous Kingdom Historian.
Their Majesties invited Baron Tassin Tresseaul to enter Their Court and further invited Lord Ulf Bareleg to join him. Baron Tassin then presented a new chain of office for the brewing champion of Æthelmearc to Their Majesties that he had cast. Their Majesties greatly appreciated Baron Tassin’s artistry of having created this new regalia for the kingdom, and presented the chain of office to Lord Ulf as Kingdom Brewing Champion.
Their Majesties further thanked Baron Tassin Tresseaul for his service recognizing him as the new Kingdom Chamberlain as and thanking Duchess Siobhán inghean uí Liatháin for her service in this office.
Baron Jasper Longshanks was recognized with a Golden Escarbuncle for his continuing support of the scribes of Æthelmearc. Most recently Baron Jasper had created tokens for Their Majesties to recognize and thank the scribes for their contributions to Their Royal Courts.
Her Majesty then invited Duke Sven Gunnarson to join the Court. Her Majesty presented Duke Sven as Her Inspiration for his work in support of ÆLive gathering photographs from the kingdom and creating wonderful slideshows for each and every episode.
His Majesty then raised a glass in appreciation of the staff of ÆLive and their hard work entertaining and gathering the kingdom throughout the pandemic.

Their Majesties opened court thanking all for attending. They spoke about how long the past year was, and how many friends that we all have lost, and also the fuzzy friends that we have lost. They then invited Lady Isabetta Orsini and David to join Them in Court. They had recently lost their dog Siff, and Their Majesties inducted Siff into the Sylvan Pack in memoriam. Their Majesties invited Baroness Anastasie de Lamoure to join Them in Court. Baroness Anastasie had taken the Office of Æthelmearc Kingdom Thrown WeaponsMarshall, and she gave her oath of service to the Kingdom to serve faithfully in that Office.

Master Antonio de la Luna was then invited into Court, and Their Majesties thanked him for serving the past 4 years as Kingdom Thrown Weapons Marshall. They went on to praise his unending courtesy, being a voice of reason, and constantly working so that others might enjoy themselves. The Sylvan Bard, Lord Eadaoin Ruadh, was then invited into Court and Their Majesties presented her with an Award of Excellence for her service over the past year as Sylvan Bard, contributing many Bardic Ambushes for AE Live, and other online venues.

Lord Eadaoin then announced that the previous evening she had hosted a bardic competition to determine her successor as Sylvan Bard. Their Majesties then called forth THLord Bran O’Labhragha and asked him to serve as Queen’s Bardic Champion, and Lord Gavin Kent was asked to serve as King’s Bardic Champion. Her Majesty then invited Lady Megge Gormshuileach and Mistress Elska a Fjarfelli and thanked them both for their bardic performances in the Sylvan Bardic Championship, and presented tokens of appreciation to each.
Their Majesties then spoke of upcoming events and Invited Baron Brandubh O’Donnghaile to speak about the upcoming Æthelmearc Heralds and Scribes Symposium event to be held on Zoom on April 10th, and that both Heralds and Scribes are still seeking teachers.
Their Majesties then invited Lady Thalia Papillon to speak as Autocrat of Ice Dragon. She announced that the Ice Dragon event will be several Zoom events starting with an Ice Dragon Bardic Circle on April 3, Pentathlon Judging online beginning Sunday April 11, leading up to Saturday April 24 for the Virtual event and court..

Their Majesties then called Lijsbet Hoefman into court. They praised her works in the Barony of the Rhydderich Hael. She served as Chronicler and Webminister for Barony, making a new website for the Barony, assisting with the Ice Dragon Pent, as well as being a talented artist and musician. Dugan Rushton and Cristina Aurelia Vitelli of Sylvan Glen were then called into court and Their Majesties Awarded Arms to both of them. Dugan served as Shire Chamberlain reorganizing property and creating new policies for its use and teaching youth combat. Their Majesties then invited Lady Otilia von Passaw into court and thanked her for creating beautiful cast pewter pilgrim tokens for Their Majesties, her brooches were entered in the Virtual Queen’s Prize Tourney, and the kingdom had been impressed by the quality of her work. THLord Rhys of Myles End was invited into court to speak about the Google for Non-Profit that Æthelmearc now features. THLord Rhys was part of the implementation team for the Webminister’s Office, and announced that all Paid Members could apply for an Æthelmearc Email address though the Æthelmearc Webminister Page. Their Majesties thanked him for his work, as they had heard how many hours had been spent by the Google Team making these updates, helping new users, and so They inducted him into the Order of the Keystone. Her Majesty Queen Liadain then invited Lady Ania Mhoireach to attend her in court. She presented her with a personal token as the Queen’s Inspiration, for although she did not compete in the Bardic Competition for Sylvan Bard, she did participate in the interkingdom Bardic Circle that followed with such joy at sharing and hearing others perform.

Their Majesties thanked all of the Scribes and Regalia makers who had contributed to Their Court. They spoke of the future of the Society and Æthelmearc, as our future looks bright, and They wished to open up Æthelmearc safely, asking the subjects of Æthelmearc what that process should look like. They announced that there will be a virtual event on May 1 to celebrate the New Year Anno Societatis 56.
Brehyres Gwendolyn the Graceful was then invited into court and presented with an Award of Excellence for her decades of support of the bardic community in Æthelmearc. She truly embodies the title of Sylvan Bard Emeritus, continuing to lead the peoples of Æthelmearc in story song and march at Circles, Competitions and Opening Ceremonies.
Their Majesties then invited Their New Sylvan Bards to perform their winning pieces in Court. THLord Bran O’Labhradha performed his winning song “Elegy of a Dream” and Lord Gavin Kent performed his winning poem “Ode to Kindle a Mighty Blazon.”
The Report of the Ætherial Court of Their Sylvan Majesties, Maynard and Liadain, King and Queen of Æthelmearc, held on the occasion of Their Arts and Sciences Championship on the fifth day of December Anno Societatis LV, Baron Brandubh O’Donnghaile, Jewel Herald.
Their Majesties opened court and welcomed all who had joined Their Court.
The Kingdom Seneschal Master Illadore de Bedegrayne was called into court, and she relayed the news of the most recent meeting of the Board of Directors of the Society for Creative Anachronism, that they have extended the moratorium on activities until May 31st. She continued to clarify that small limited attendance gatherings and socially distanced activities such as Archery or Thrown Weapons practices may still take place, and that permission for such activities would still need to be gathered from her office in consultation with His Grace Christopher Rawlins, the Pandemics deputy.
Their Majesties then invited the Kingdom Ministers of Arts and Sciences to join the court, Masters Hrolfr and Elska Fjarfelli. They spoke of their gratitude to Their Majesties, all the artisans of the kingdom who entered the Kingdom Arts and Sciences Championship and the more than 30 judges who had worked to evaluate all the entries, the Arts and Sciences Webminister Master Robert of Ferness, and Lady Magdalena Txoperena and Baroness Amalie Reinhardt for their assistance with the Zoom Rooms, and technical backup.
Their Majesties then bestowed an Award of Excellence to Master Hrolfr a Fjarfelli for his dedicated service to the Arts and Sciences Community during this pandemic time. He had worked to ensure that Virtual Queen’s Prize Tournament and Virtual Arts and Sciences Championship were both successful despite the distances involved. Master Hrolfr had been a bright light, cheerful, enthusiastic and patient with all of the artisans who participated in these challenges.
Mistress Elska a Fjarfelli was then presented with the Award of Excellence for her service to the Arts and Sciences Community. She had developed new rubrics to be used by judges for evaluating projects online, reaching across kingdoms to make the best set of standards to be used for Aethelmearc’s Virtual Tournaments.
Their Majesties then called upon Laird Coinneach Mac an Leigh and named him The King’s Arts and Sciences Champion for his entry of a 16th Century Purser’s Chest from the wreck of the Mary Rose. Scroll by Baroness Shirin al Sussiyya.

Their Majesties wished to also give honorable mentions to Dominicus Varangolpolous for his entry of Newbies First Candles for the enthusiasm shown by this new artisan. They also gave an honorable mention to THLady Renata Rouge for her entry of 11th Century Naalbind accessories, which was a very close third place of all entries.
While Their Majesties had THLady Renata Rouge in Their Court, they bid the Order of the Millrind to witness her induction into that Order. Renata had served as a combat scribe, autocrat, Thrown Weapons Marshal, and previous service as Kingdom Minister of Arts and Sciences. Their Majesties then invited Baron Brandubh O’Donnghaile and Baroness Hilderun Huegelmann of the Barony-Marche of the Debatable Lands to announce the winners of the Equestrian Challenge to Defeat the Unseen Enemy. Their Excellencies explained that Their Baronial Captain of Horse, THLady Gesa von Wellenstein, had issued a challenge to all riders to film themselves and submit those videos of them competing in various equestrian games. They had received submissions from 5 riders, adn each was awarded a Prize scroll by the hand of THLady Gesa von Wellenstein. Simon a Fjarfelli rider Audrey was named youth champion, Mistress Elska a Fjarfelli riding Greni Fra Blasted Rock was named Most Creative Contestant,Eschina MacDonyll riding Moose was named Master of Tricks, Captain CuMhara O’Holyhead of the Middle Kingdom riding Lord Magic was named Master of Laughs, and Yarden riding Moose was named the overall winner and victorious over the unseen enemy.

Their Majesties then called for the attendance of Baroness Amalie Reinhardt to attend Them. They spoke words of thanks to her for her outstanding service as Æthelmearc Webminister, bringing new technologies to Æthelmearc, helping to change the face of Æthelmearc, and always assisting with the new technologies. For this They presented her with an Award of Excellence.
Their Majesties then thanked all of the scribes, wordsmiths and medallion makers who had contributed to Their Court.
Her Majesty presented Master Illadore de Bedegrayne, Kingdom Seneschal, with a personal token and named her the Queen’s Inspiration for her continuing dedication to serve Æthelmearc and Society in efforts to keep us all safe.
Their Majesties then announced that the Royalty of the Known World were banding together to present tokens to individuals who continue to make a difference and keep the dream alive in these times of plague. They had already begun to send tokens to individuals who were making a difference for Æthelmearc based upon artwork by Her Majesty Maise of Dunbarton, Queen of Trimaris. They looked forward to seeing more efforts from Æthelmearc to keep the dream alive.

Baron Brandubh O’Donnghaile begged a boon of Their Majesties, that he might be allowed to pass the Office of Silver Buccle Principal Herald of Ӕthelmearc to his successor Jorundr hinn rotinn. Their Majesties Maynard and Liadain gave their assent and invite Drotinn Jorundr hinn rotinn into Their Court.
Drotinn Jorundr did confirm that is was his wish to take up the mantle of Silver Buccle Herald of Ӕthelmearc, and Their Majesties received his oath of Service as King of Arms for the Kingdom of Ӕthelmearc.
Baron Bramdubh then stepped back to join the Brotherhood Of Old Buccles, Silver as a past Silver Buccle Herald, and he invited THLady Sophie Davenport to join him with the order of the B.O.O.B.S. in thanks for her service to the Kingdom of Ӕthelmearc as Silver Buccle Principal Herald.
Their Majesties thanked both Baron Brandubh and THLady Sophie for their support of the kingdom.
Due to the ongoing plague that has troubled our lands, a Regency Court was held on October 17, A.S. 55 in the Shire of Abhainn Ciach Ghlais by Their Graces Timothy of Arindale and Gabrielle van Nigenrode by the leave of Their Sylvan Majesties Maynard von dem Steine and Laidain ni Dheirdre Chaohamnaigh, Recorded by Baroness Antoinette DeLorraine.
It was a beautiful day for a small gathering following all safety guidelines set forth by Kingdom and local statutes.
Their Graces called forth THLady Rhenna de An t’Eilean Dubh, and spoke warmly about all her years of service. While the event was small in attendance, words of praise had been sent from all over the Kingdom. Her Grace Dorinda Courtenay and Maitre Gilles de Beauchamps spoke words of appreciation to name her their peer. Rhenna was then wrapped in a beautifully embroidered cloak emblazoned with a Pelican in her piety, and was inducted into the order of the Pelican (scroll by Mistress Alicia Langland and THL Vivienne of Yardley)

Their Excellencies Gunther and Rosheen, Baron and Baroness of Saint Swithins Bog were given leave to hold Their Baronial Court.
Their Majesties thanked all who came to Their Court, and all of those who have been active in the Æther to keep Æthelmearc alive during this trying time.
Their Majesties then invited the Youths present to come forward one at a time to take a game bag.

The Noble Cassiano da Castello was invited into court. Their Majesties noted that they always had a smile on their face as they served their newest beverages, retained tirelessly, or shared a delicious lunch. Their Majesties then summoned Fredrik Silverose and Thora Silverthorn into Their Court. They spoke of Fredrik’s service as Baronial Chamberlain, and donations of his wire weaving to largess. They praised Thora for working as tollner, running children’s activities, cooking sewing and cleaning. This pleased Their Majesties and so both were Awarded Arms. Their Majesties then called for Lady Asuka Seishi and inducted her into the Order of the Keystone for her years of service as a waterbearer, service at events, retaining, and willingness to do anything needed in order to help. Baroness Aelfra Long was summoned before Their Majesties. Their Majesties confronted her that They had caught wind of Aelfra’s plot involving the entire Barony of Saint Swithins Bog. She had been working through the pandemic in assisting any and all to register arms and names with the College of Heralds. For this Her Majesty removed a broach from her sleeve and presented it to Baroness Aelfra as a token of distinction.
But while Their Majesties had Baroness Aelfra Long in Their Court, They further charged her for her heraldic skills, designing arms and names, running courts, constructing scroll texts and brags on the field in varied and diverse means setting them to period texts, and creating scrolls. For this Maynard and Liadain inducted her into the Order of the Sycamore. King Maynard and Queen Liadain then called Baroness Osa of the Greenland into Their Court so that They could induct her into the Order of the Sycamore for her skill at sewing viking age women’s garb, making banners and award scrolls. Baroness Rosheen O’Faye was then invited to join her husband Baron Gunther Greenbaum in Their Majesties’ Court, and both were presented with Golden Escarbuncles for their leadership, inspiration and support in putting together a small local gathering for Their Majesties’ Court, and ensuring that all award recipients were present.
Their Majesties then spoke about Gobi, and Fobi, and all the members of Saint Swithins Bog who make the drinks, and help put up the Baronial Camp at Pennsic, or man the bar, or invite all join them for Gobi Night, and so Their Majesties inducted the Barony of Saint Swithin’s Bog into the Order of Howlings Wolf for their spreading of mirth, merriment, and hospitality.
Her Majesty Liadain then called for Lady Caterine de Troyes to come forth, and thanked her for stoking the fires and preparing lunch for all that day. Queen Liadain named Lady Caterine her inspiration and presented her with a token from her hand.
Their Majesties thanked all scribes who had contributed to the court and offered them tokens for their generous gifts of their arts, and offered each of them tokens.
King Maynard and Queen Liadain then spoke to the populace and thanked them all for their hospitality, and for keeping their social distance.

Their Majesties Maynard and Liadain opened Their Court and welcomed all who had attended the Æthelmearc Æcademy.
Baroness Elena de la Palma, Dean of the Æthelmearc Æcademy was invited to speak.
She spoke of her appreciation for all of the Teachers, Zoomerators, Class attendees, and Baroness Amalie Reinhardt for technical assistance. Their Majesties in turn thanked Baroness Elena and all her staff for hosting the Virtual Æthelmearc Æcademy.
Their Majesties invited the Kingdom Ministers of Arts and Sciences Master Hrolfr a Fjarfelli and Mistress Elska a Fjarfelli into court.
Hrolfr and Elska spoke about the Virtual Queen’s Prize Tournament which had just concluded.
They were truly in awe of the response.
In the Wake of Ice Dragon and Artisans Faire events being cancelled, Hrolfr and Elska wanted to give the artisans of Æthelmearc a forum to display the Arts and Sciences.
To this end, they opened the Virtual Queen’s Prize Tourney for artists to publicly share their work and documentation openly to all the Known World, and receive feedback on their work.
18 artisans had presented 23 separate entries into the virtual Tournament.
Master Hrolfr and Mistress Elska then presented the prize for best documentation and overall winner of the tournament to Lady Ilaria of Delftwood for her entry of Three Early 15th Century Bourrelet Headdresses. Scroll is a work in progress.

Lady Fede di Fiore was then called into Their Majesties’ Court. Before all witnesses here assembled, Their Majesties inducted Lady Fede into the Order of the Fleur d’Æthelmearc for her outstanding and continuing work in tailoring garments, clothing and teaching the art of the seamstress. Her Majesty Liadain then spoke of her inspiration for the day, and spoke of Baroness Amalie Reinhardt for all of her support of the online efforts to hold the Virtual Æthelmearc Æcademy and Court. So Her Majesty presented her a personal token.
Their Majesties thanked everyone for attending Æcademy and Their Court. They are exploring some possible options for non-traditional courts, so please submit award recommendations.

The Report of the Æthereal Court of Maynard and Laidain, King and Queen of Æthelmearc, Court held on the 23rd day of May anno societatis 55, Baron Brandubh O’Donghaile, Jewel Herald.
Their Majesties extended the Term of Office for Their Kingdom Webminister, Baroness Amalie Reinhardt for one year. They then received Baroness Amalie’s continued oath of service, and thanked her for her hard work and assistance.
The Report of the Aethereal Coronation Court of Timothy and Gabrielle, King and Queen of Æthelmearc, and Their Heirs, Maynard and Liadian, held April 4th anno societatis 54, court conducted by THLady Sophie Davenport Silver Buccle, Baron Snorri skyti Bjarnarson Jewel, and Baron Brandubh O’Donghaile, Jewel.
Their Majesties Timothy and Gabriel welcomed all to their court.
The Heirs to the Sylvan Throne, Prince Maynard von dem Steine and Princess Liadain ni Dheirdre Chaomhanaigh, presented Their claim to the throne of Æthelmearc and thanked Timothy and Gabrielle for their stewardship of the Kingdom.
Master Illadore de Bedegrayne, Kingdom Seneschal, on behalf of her office and the Earl Marshal and the Ministress of the Lists, verified that law was followed, the tourney was legal, and that Maynard did win that tournament.
THLady Sophie Davenport, Silver Buccle Herald, verified that upon the
conclusion of that tournament, Their Majesties Timothy and Gabrielle did
open Their Court and promise the throne to Their Heirs Maynard and Liadain.
Their Majesties Timothy and Gabrielle satisfied by this testimony then set
to settling Their affairs. They released their Jewel Herald Baron Snorii skyti Bjarnarson. They released Their Retainers and Guards, thanking all
for service throughout the reign.
THLady Sophie Davenport, Silver Buccle, then released Baron Snorri Skyti
Bjarnarson from his oath of service as her Kingdom Deputy Jewel Herald.
His Majesty Timothy released Her Majesty Gabrielle and removed the crown from Her head, thanking Her for being His Queen. King Timothy then removed His crown and thanked Æthelmearc for its service and support.
Prince Maynard thanked Timothy and Gabrielle for Their service and swore to honor His predecessors and protect Æthelmearc and placed the crown upon His head. Princess Liadain spoke of looking forward to this reign, and
swore to stand with strength to uphold Æthelmearc and its people and was
crowned Queen. Together Their Majesties swore Their oath to Æthelmearc to uphold law, lead through this time of plague, provide positive leadership,
and look forward to the time we can gather again.
THLady Sophie Davenport, Silver Buccle Herald then read the lineage of the
Kings and Queens of Æthelmearc, and presented Maynard and Laidain — the 46th in the line of succession to the Throne of the Kingdom of Æthelmearc.
Their Majesties called for the Officers of the Kingdom of Æthelmearc and Master Illadore de Bedegrayne swore an oath of service in representation of the Great Officers of the Kingdom of Æthlemearc.
The Landed Nobility of Æthelmearc was called forth and Baron Brandubh
O’Donnghaile and Baroness Hilderun Hugelmann swore fealty for the
Baron-Marche of the Debatable Lands. Baron Eldjarn the Thoughtful and
Baroness Dugheasa inghen Dubgaill swore fealty for the Barony of
Thescorre. Baron Pagraig O’Branduibh and Baroness Juliana Rosalia Dolce di Sienna swore fealty for the Barony of Rhydderich Hael. Baron Ixak ben
Simone and Baroness Amalie Reinhardt swore fealty for the Barony of
Delftwood. Baron Ichijo Honen and Baroness Cerridwen de Skene swore fealty for the Barony of Blackstone Mountain. Baron Stefano de Verde and Baroness Fiona ingen ui Fhaolain swore fealty for the Barony of the Endless Hills. Baron Gunther Grunbaum and Baroness Rosheen O’Faye swore fealty for the Barony of Saint Swithins Bog.
Their Majesties called for the Peerage Orders of Æthelmearc and Sir Aengus MacBain swore the Fealty on behalf of the Order of the Chivalry. Duchess Dorinda Courtenay swore fealty on behalf of the order of the Pelican. Sir Ian Kennoven swore fealty on behalf of the order of the Laurel. Master Jacob of Dunmore swore fealty on behalf of the Order of Defense. Duke Sven Gunnarsson and Duchess Siobhan inghean ui Laithain swore fealty on behalf of the Royal Peers.
Their Majesties received all these oaths and promised to protect, support,
and defend Their officers, baronies, and peerage orders.
Maynard and Liadian announced that They will defer investing Their Royal
Household until such time as events can be held and the Kingdom can gather again.
Duke Timothy of Arindale and Duchess Gabrielle van Nijenrode were called into Their Majesties’ Court and thanked them for their service as King and Queen. Maynard and Liadain took this time to reconfirm their status as Duke and Duchess.
THLady Sophie Davenport, Silver Buccle, then called for Baron Brandubh O’Donnghaile. THLady Sophie Davenport then invested Baron Brandubh as her Deputy, Jewel Herald.
Baron Brandubh then swore an oath of fealty to the Kingdom of Æthelmearc, Their Majesties Maynard and Laidain, and Silver Buccle to serve as Jewel Herald.
Their Majesties Maynard and Liadain then thanked all who had attended their court, especially those from far away lands who would not have been able to physically attend Their Coronation. They thanked Baroness Amalie Reinhardt and THLady Sumayya al Gaziyah for their Æethereal Assistance, Master Illadore de Bedegrayne for her guidance as Kingdom Seneschale, Their parents Timothy and Gabrielle, Duchess Adrielle Kerrec of Ealdomere who fashioned Their Majesties clothing for Their Coronation, and the Kingdom Chamberlains Duke Sven Gunarsson and Siobhan inghean ui Laithain for arranging safe transport of the regalia to Their Majesties.
Their Majesties further wished to thank the hard working members of The Shire of Heronter and The Barony of Rhydderich Hael who had worked to put together the coronation event that was unfortunately cancelled, especially the stewards Duchess Dorinda Courtenay and Lord Chebe.

King Maynard and Queen Liadain then asked that Æthelmearc join them in
charging Their Glasses and salute the first responders, doctors, nurses,
medics firefighters, service providers, and essential personnel that allow
us to continue our lives.
Æthelmearc needs heirs, but Crown Tournament is postponed. Their Majesties promise to secure heirs as soon as their is a date that Æthelmearc can safely hold the tournament. As soon a date is determined, Their Majesties will announce revised deadlines for letters of intent to enter Crown.
Their Majesties were excited to announce that They will start an online
program to keep Æthelmearc’s presence alive, as the Kingdom has a Zoom
account. They invited the Kingdom Social Media Officer, THLady Sumayya al Gaziyah, to speak about the Zoom account, which is available to be used for all manner of activities. Individuals or groups may sign up for online
rooms for meetings, classes, and more.
Queen Liadain gave her token of Inspiration to all of the Kingdom of
Æthelmearc, as its people have inspired her through these changing times.
Their Majesties invited all to join Them as They Sit in State.
