Her Majesty spoke with Silvester, describing her joy as a practitioner of the fiber arts at seeing his Lordship’s work in tablet weaving and the like, and was greatly moved also by the quality of craftsmanship She recognized in that work. Despite his protestations to the contrary, Their Majesties deemed his work to be of highest skill. They then invited to Their Court Their Most Noble Order of the Laurel and bid him leave with them to consider elevation to be among their number. Scroll by Mistress Antoinette de la Croix.

Having already completed Their business with one of the day’s co-autocrats, Their Majesties wished to have words with the other, and did summon Lord Jodocus van Cleef to Them. They spoke of his tireless work both on behalf of the event and of his home Shire of Kings Crossing. They declared it to be worthy of greater recognition, and so did add him to Their Order of the Keystone. Scroll by Her Ladyship Eleanor of Godwin.

The Interkingdom Scribal Guild, known to the populace as the INKS Guild, was then called into Court. Their members described the work they do, creating scroll blanks to be sent across the known world to different kingdoms for their use. For this grand expression of service to the society did Their Majesties award the guild membership in Their Order of the Keystone. Master Kieran MacRae was next invited to attend Their Majesties’ Court. Master Kieran could frequently be seen in many roles around the Barony-Marche of the Debatable Lands or in the farther reaches of the kingdom as herald, performer, or otherwise devoted servant to tasks needing accomplished. They concurred with the assessment of Their Noble Order of the Millrind, and summoned that Order to Them, and added Master Kieran to their number. Scroll by Lady Eilionora inghean an Bhaird.

Next did Their Majesties call for Baroness Kilde Jurgenstochter, and then did Kilde happen to appear before Them. Her Ladyship’s long service and varied contributions had been of great help to many, from supporting Their Majesties’ first reign to supporting local groups, and travelling afar to provide for the Kingdom. They announced that They were of a mind to recognize her work. So, too, was Their Most Noble Order of the Pelican, who were then invited into Their Court. They were bidden to take Her Excellency with them to consider a time where she may sit vigil to join that Order. Scroll by Her Excellency Ekaterina Volkova.

Their being no business before Their Majesties at that moment, Their Court was then suspended.
In the evening, at feast:
Their Majesties called before them Baron Robert Hawksworth. Her Majesty spoke of the energy with which he approaches all his work in the Society, and the work he did to create an entertaining event for fencers on Their Coronation day. So did She name him Her Inspiration for the day, and awarded him a Golden Escarbuncle.

Their being no further business before Their Majesties, Their Court was then closed.
Here is some news that may interest fighters and fencers: there is a new holder of the Sylvan Bronze Crescent!
At the first Æthelmearc Grand Tournament, held in the Barony Marche of the Debatable Lands, Don Jacob Martinson was victorious and now holds the cut and thrust fighting prize known as the Bronze Crescent. Great job!
For those who do not know, the Bronze Crescent is a meritocratic challenge prize in which a challenger must defeat the holder in cut and thrust combat to claim it. It is open to all authorized cut and thrust fighters of Æthelmearc.
Please direct your challenges to him, per the rules.
