Their Majesties invited before Them, the Emissaries from the Kingdom of Meridies in attendance. Baron Griffin, speaking for the group presented gifts to Their Majesties including a reviled hat from the opponents of the Penguins of BMDL currently vying for a Cup from Lord Stanley to the merry hissing of the court.

Greetings unto all the groups of Æthelmearc from the Order of the Scarlet Guard!

We wish to issue a challenge! On Saturday, June 13th, A.S. 50, in the Shire of Hornwood at the Scarlet Guard Inn III, we are inviting every Barony, Shire, Dominion, Canton, and College to send an individual to shoot in an archery competition. The nature of the competition is not yet determined, but since the Scarlet Guard Inn is already jam-packed full of fun and interesting archery ranges, we expect it will be a single round, highest-score-wins shoot.

Each group can pick one representative, who must be a member of that group, to compete in the challenge. The competitor must bring a signed letter from the seneschal of their group as proof that they are the group’s chosen representative. Only persons with a signed letter from the group’s seneschal will be allowed to compete. Archers from groups outside of Æthelmearc may compete as long as they have a letter signed by their local seneschal. Members of the Scarlet Guard are not eligible to shoot in this competition.

Each group should send a small item or token that will be put in the prize basket for the winner. There will also be a banner for the winner to keep during the year, and then pass on to the next winner at the following year’s competition. The name of the winner and the group he/she is from will be added to this banner each year, as we plan to make this an ongoing competition.

If you have any questions please contact us at scarletguard_clerk@aethelmearc.org.
