His Highness remarked upon the proliferation of activities and pursuits that enrich our Kingdom and Society, but that sometimes lead to fragmentation as we are forced to choose between one activity or another at events. Their Highnesses wish to dedicate Their upcoming reign to finding ways to bridge the gaps between participation, upon the historically-inspired theme, “A Day at the Tournament.” They invite any who have suggestions or ideas about how to enable our subjects to enjoy more varied activities during the course of events, to contact Them in the coming weeks.
His Highness addresses the populace
His Majesty reminded all that we have but two weeks until the Pennsic War is upon us. His Majesty expressed the hope that all present had taken up a new area of interest this year. His Majesty further declared His aspiration that as the Known World travels to our lands, that all within the Kingdom of Æthelmearc should outfight, outfence, outshoot,
out-volunteer, and outshine all other realms, so that all who visit us can see and recognize the grandeur of Æthelmearc.
Finally, His Majesty thanked all the staff who had worked to make the event enjoyable and successful, and the Barony of St. Swithin’s Bog for their generosity and hospitality.
There being no further business, the Court was closed.

With the Order of Defense still in attendance, Their Majesties called for Fredeburg von Katzenellenbogen and asked her if she still wished to become a member of this august order.
