We encourage submission of any news related articles about the SCA that would be of interest to people living in Æthelmearc.
We welcome missives from Kingdom Officers and Royalty, event autocrats, and anyone with local items of interest to share. We are also looking for articles on subjects within our time period (pre-1600) for our online library.
Note to autocrats: We would love to feature your event announcement. Please submit it approximately three weeks before your event. If you are holding special competitions we are happy to do articles on those in addition. We can only feature the total event announcement once, though, so make the timing count. We’d also love an after-event report, so assign a reporter from your group and let us all know about the great time everyone had!
If you would like to submit an item, please note the following guidelines set to respect the privacy of our friends and neighbors:
- Only SCA names may be used in articles unless you have written approval from an individual to use their legal name.
- Permission to publish contact information must be given in writing (if you are the author, your submittal will be accepted as permission).
- Please ask permission of anyone whose face is recognizable in photos before submitting. If you are not the photographer, please obtain permission from the photographer before submitting. If you wish for a photo in which you are featured to be removed, please email us at email@example.com and we will see that it is removed promptly.
Items can be mailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please do not embed photographs; send them as separate attachments. Be sure to include your name as you wish it to appear as the author of the story, as well as the names of photographers. The editor in charge for that day will publish the piece on the blog or get back to you with any questions.
Thank you for helping us connect the Kingdom!
