The Report of the Court of Their Sylvan Majesties Maynard and Liadain, King and Queen of Æthelmearc, held at Whispering of Wildwood on the fourth day of September Anno Societatis fifty-six, with Their Excellencies Ixac amd Amalie, Baron and Baroness of Delftwood, in attendance, Baron Brandubh O’Donnghaile, Jewel Herald, with the assistance of Lady Gulsah al Zakiyya.

Morning Court

Their Majesties found a private moment to speak with Lord Claude du Vivier and inducted them into the Order of the Cornelian for their generous support of the peoples of Delftwood, delivering items between members during the pandemic and their encouragement of the bardic arts encouraging everyone to enjoy themselves. Lady Mair the Pavilion Rider was inducted into the Order of the Keystone in absentia for her decades of service to Æthelmearc as retainer, guard, cook, Pennsic services, and at local demos. Scroll Limned by Lady Serena Milani, scrivened by Master Jon Blaecstan, words by Her Majesty Liadain.

Evening Court

Their Majesties welcomed all to Their Court, and His Majesty proclaimed even though he didn’t get to put on armor, he had a wonderful time on Archery Ranges and Thrown Weapons ranges.

On 27 August 2021, Their Royal Majesties, Maynard von dem Steine and Líadain ní Dheirdre Chaomhánaigh, the Crown of Æthelmearc, have issued a Temporary Removal from Participation from the SCA against Amy Simeister, known in the Society as Constantina Warbler.

Their Excellencies Ixac and Amalie, Baron and Baroness of Delftwood, were granted leave to conduct their Baronial Court.

Master Jonathan Blaecstan was called forward and invested as the Sylvan Sygnet upon receipt of his oath of Fealty to Æthelmearc and presented with the kingdom scroll case.

Conchobar na Faesoige was called forth and Awarded Arms for his service at events, rattan weapons skills and repairing the baronial loaner armor. Scroll by Alessandra Serena Renda of Gibellina.

Their Majesties called forth Gemma of Delftwood and Awarded her Arms for her service at events, creating largess, and cheering others on in their projects. Scroll by Baron Caleb Reynolds.

Their Majesties invited all in attendance who were attending their first Royal Court in Æthelmearc to come forward and presented each with a cup in order to remember the day.

Lauren of Delftwood was Awarded Arms for her long support of helping those around her to shine, entering Arts and Sciences Competitions, and being very generous with time in support of those around her. Lady Ewa of Coppertree was inducted into the Order of the Sycamore in absentia for her theatrical and bardic skills especially in bringing troupes together at the most recent Bardic War. Scroll by Mistress Máirghréad Stíobhard inghean uí Choinne.

Their Majesties Awarded Arms to Muirgen of Delftwood in absentia for her donations to the largess items of the Barony and Kingdom from her weaving and sewing. Scroll by Lady Murdia Drusilla Vettia Portia.

Lord Stephen of Delftwood was inducted into the Order of the Keystone in absentia for his support coordinating set up and clean up crews at events, always looking for what needs to be done next. Scroll by Lady Gwen Cook.

Their Majesties then received Lord Dalibor Vilcekovsyn and praised his skills in Thrown Weapons, having just stepped down as Baronial Champion, and achieving the rank of Caster. For this They inducted him into the Order of the Golden Alce. Scroll by Baroness Amalie Reinhart.

Their Majesties announced that earlier in the day that They had inducted Lord Claude du Vivier into the Order of the Cornelian for his generosity and courtesy throughout the time of the Plague.

THLord Justin Lymner was called before Their Majesties and They thanked him for his continuing service to the Barony of Delftwood, serving in various offices, guiding newcomers, and running event activities. For these things Their Majesties presented him with the Æthelmearc Award of Excellence.

Their Majesties called forth Lady Ilaria of Delftwood and inducted her into the Order of the Fleur d’Æthelmearc for her excellent research and production of period head coverings from hats to hoods, veils, wraps, and more she has researched and recreated it. The site owners Wolfgang von Wilderwood and Lady Ana Sirena de Valbuena were invited into Their Majesties’ Court. Their Majesties thanked them for inviting the Barony to come and spend the day on their property, and so They presented them with Gratia Coronae tokens.

Their Majesties thanked Baron Ixac and Baroness Amalie for their leadership and guidance in these dark times.

The Scribes who contributed to the Royal Court Dockets were invited forward and presented with tokens of appreciation for their generosity with their skills.

Lord Corwin Alexander Templeton was called forth and named Queen’s inspiration, and Her Majesty presented him a pin from her sleeve for his efforts as archery marshal in charge of the event, designing fun and challenging ranges, encouraging all to shoot and his kindness and words of encouragement on the range.

Their Majesties noted that though the event was small They had seen so many smiles all through the day which cheered Their Hearts. They thanked Their Excellencies Ixac and Amalie and the peoples of Delftwood for their continuing support through the plague to make this day . They wished all present safe travels on their way back home.
